About

Why work with me…because I am an everyday person just like you, so we can relate!

I am a proud wife, mother, grandma (well, Grandma B is what they call me 😊), and an entrepreneur who is passionate and enthusiastic about the work I do. I’ve always had the pull to serve others and make a positive impact within communities through my work. From working more than twenty years as a Registered Nurse to founding Woman Strong - a women’s empowerment movement, I have continuously sought ways to transform my lived experiences, knowledge, and insight into solutions that others can benefit from.

As the Executive Coach of Brandy Mills Consulting, I am dedicated to helping individuals, teams, organizations, companies, and corporations get to the Business of Leading themselves through their next level of Growth. I have been doing Business, Leadership, and Growth work for over a decade. With 13 years of clinical leadership and organizational operations experience in a healthcare setting and close to eight years of personal business leadership operation experience, I’ve acquired a keen understanding of the highs and lows that come with it all.

I've developed a love for working with others through coaching, consultation, and partnerships to assist them in facing challenges head-on using an individualized approach to strategic thinking, goal setting, and implementation. I believe in providing a coaching/consulting experience that supports, inspires, and motivates my clients to put in the work necessary to achieve their personal definitions of success.

My work has afforded me the honor of receiving awards, nominations, recognition, and features in articles and local news publications over the years.

However, what brings me the most joy is knowing that my achievements have inspired others to embark on their journeys towards success. My ultimate goal is to motivate others into massive action, just like my mentors did for me.

Outside of the work that I do with clients like you, I have a deep love for connecting with and encouraging youth, teens, and young adults. I’ve had the pleasure of leading various initiatives, volunteering in schools and organizations committed to uplifting and empowering this population, and serving as a mentor.

  • Will the recipient be publicly announced?
We respect the privacy of all applicants. Recipients may choose whether to share their story publicly or remain anonymous. However, we'd love to celebrate our winners and highlight their journeys if they are comfortable sharing.
  • Who can I contact for more information?
For any additional questions, please email hello@brandymillsconsulting.com. You can also follow us on social media (Instagram: BM.WomanStrong; Facebook: Woman Strong) for updates on the scholarship, events, and donation opportunities.
  • How is the recipient selected?
A selection committee will review applications based on: The nominee’s demonstrated need for self-care. The potential impact of the scholarship on her well-being. Her commitment to embracing self-care as a priority in her life. Finalists may be asked to provide additional information before a final decision is made.
  • How can I apply or nominate someone?
Nominees can apply for themselves or be nominated by someone who recognizes their need for self-care. Applications for nominations can be submitted through our online form. The form requires basic contact information and a short personal statement (250 words or less) explaining why the nominee deserves the scholarship and how she would use the funds for self-care. If your nominee is selected, she will be contacted to accept the award.
  • What is the Woman Strong Self Care Scholarship?
The Woman Strong Self Care Scholarship is a financial award designed to support women in prioritizing themselves and their well-being. The scholarship provides funds, in the form of gift cards, direct payment to vendors, and yes, even cash, for women to engage in self-care activities such as wellness retreats, personal development workshops, creative hobbies, or any experience that helps them recharge, heal, and invest in themselves.
  • Who is eligible to apply?
Any woman or friend of a woman who consistently puts others before herself and could benefit from financial support to engage in self-care is eligible.
  • Can businesses or organizations sponsor the scholarship?
Yes! We welcome business sponsorships and partnerships. If your business wants to support women’s self-care, please reach out at hello@brandymillsconsulting.com.
  • Is my donation tax-deductible?
At this time, Woman Strong is not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which means donations to the Woman Strong Self Care Scholarship are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions under IRS guidelines. However, that doesn’t make your gift any less impactful. Your donation goes directly toward supporting real women who are prioritizing their well-being...many for the first time. While contributions can’t be claimed as tax deductions, you may still be able to categorize your donation as a sponsorship, marketing expense, or community goodwill initiative. We recommend consulting with your accountant or tax professional to determine if and how your support can be recognized as a business expense. If you're a business interested in sponsoring the fund, we’re happy to: Acknowledge your sponsorship on our website or social media Include your logo in promotional materials Offer shoutouts during events or fundraisers These benefits may make your sponsorship eligible as a marketing or advertising deduction depending on your situation.
  • How much money does the scholarship provide?
The scholarship amount varies depending on available funds. To be able to serve as many women as possible, micro scholarship will be given. The amount could cover self-care experiences such as a full manicure or pedicure, partial payment for a workshop, therapy session, event, etc. We aim to provide enough financial support to make a significant impact on the recipient’s well-being.
  • How often is the scholarship awarded?
The frequency of awards depends on available funding. We aim to offer the scholarship at least monthly, with the potential for more frequent awards as funds grow.
  • When is the deadline to apply or nominate someone?
The scholarship application/nomination deadline is the last day of each month. Nominees will be awarded monthly as long as funds are available.
